Something about Tubular Piles

Large diameter open tubular piles are used when there is a need for both high bending stiffness and vertical bearing capacity. They are used as standalone piles (mooring posts and bollards), or in conjunction with steel sheet piles to form the widely known combi-wall structure. The open tubular piles in a combi-wall contribute to a high bending stiffness.

Features:

Large diameter open tubular piles owe their properties to their shape. The large diameter provides the high bending stiffness. The tubes are installed without base plate and both the inside and outside areas contribute to positive skin friction. This friction and any plug formation are responsible for the enormous vertical bearing capacity.

Installation Method:

We have various techniques and working methods for installing this type of piles. We have the equipment to install these open tubular piles on land and in water. These piles are generally driven as deep as possible using a vibratory hammer after positioning on the installation point, and then driven the remaining depth with a hydraulic hammer or diesel hammer. We can install open tubular piles either unguided, or inside a guide construction.
